Last year (2025) was a foundation year for me. AI hit the writing industry really hard a couple years ago, and I needed some time to visualize what I want to do next. It was tough! I’ve been working absolutely shit jobs trying to make ends meet, and I’m tired of it.
The map I used to be successful in my freelance writer career became obsolete almost overnight. So I set up an artist website, figured out Patreon and Substack, and just generally re-invented my online presence from the ground up.
Now that everything is ready in the background, I can finally get back to doing what I love (writing and making art!).
What to expect here on Life of Noveltea
Although there will be blog posts here, most of the fun will be over on my Substack. I’ll use this blog mainly as a public bulletin board to direct to full articles elsewhere. This is so I can keep my writing and art out of the greedy hands of AI companies. Bitter? Who, me? Definitely.
Anyway, you can expect mayhem, mischief, and more. Things that I like and/or find useful and will probably write about:

- novels (that are not Young Adult)
- recipes
- road trips
- tea
- navigating chronic illness and disability
- neurodivergence
